Seljord is a place after Boe, driving towards the west side. The village is a small and friendly place, some more old type of people are there, of more old tradition. Seljord is having every year a form of festival, named "Dyrskuen". There you can go on tivoli, buy candies, tractors, bathing equipement or other things you might find. You can find sometimes lottery were you can win huge chocolates, difficult as you must find the correct number of many, but you have the option to increase bet and buy more spots. Seljord also shows off cows, a place were you can see them in a show.
Towards Seljord from Boe you can find some good spots, but walking is dangerous as the roads leading to different better locations are close to the main road. You can find nice forrest locations, though sand is lacking. There is a small horse track with an old place were people liked to have some small aeroplane and cars used like toys but for elderly people. Going more forward there is a great place to swim, the water area is not so high and great to walk your way slowly and to take a bath.
The sand is awesome and many visit there during summer, but just not too many. Can be dangerous to jump from the areas so watch out, as said, the water is not so much there. More places with forrests and lakes and can be nice to wonder around and try to find some great spots. Having a car might help, or walking beeng then carefull of the roads or even a bike during day.
